The Importance of a Well Dressed Neigh

Horses are one of the only animals Ryder still refers to by the sound they make (Bock Bocks are the other). He loves his Lucky horse, and he plays dress up with her all the time. While he has to get his boots and hat on to ride her, by the end Lucky's hooves are getting crammed in his boots and the hat is on her head.

Fashionista

Loves showing off his belly

He has no interest in his own sunglasses, but loves mommy's

He came out of daycare with this hairdo one day. Apparently one of the toddler girls was getting pig tails in, and he wanted some too. This from the child who screams bloody murder when anyone tries to touch his hair for a haircut ...

And always the boots. Sometimes cowboy, sometimes his cammo rain boots, but always boots.

OKC Zoo

We decided to take in the zoo with Gramma Jill when she was down for her visit.

Mom liked the rhinos best

Ryder liked the goats best (they did not have cows)

Birthday Bash - II

I guess I didn't read this before I planned the party this year, or I forgot that I was never going to have it at our house again. Oh well, seems like we might be getting better at it as it seemed to go off relatively well this year. I think it helped that mom was here to help.

We had a tractor theme, because we love all things John Deere green. The cake was especially awesome (both looking and tasting) and that is good because I spent most of the college fund on it. Next year I will remember to close the blinds before taking photos.

It was a beautiful day, which isn't usually the case in Oklahoma in June. We were able to sit outside and visit and play without dying of heatstoke. Trent and Kevin grilled, we had cake, and opened presents. It was a good day filled with family and friends.
